"If dancing be the food of love...dance on..."..so said Shakespeare..sort of!
And so it was, on the night that all the stars came out and strutted their stuff!
Joan and her amazing committee members did an excellent job of entertaining
the 55 plus members with the fabulous dance competition which gave the membership
the opportunity to compete and 'show off ' their dancing talents.
What set this night apart from the other successful events was that a professional dance troupe
was invited to participate, thereby increasing the level of competition, resulting in a very
professional display of various dance sequences.Muriel Lucas was instrumental in securing
the dancers. Thanks Muriel.
Our club members performed very well indeed, with Fabian Correa and Roland Almeida being
strong contenders.Ultimately though, the professionals prevailed with a display of dazzling perfection. A great evening all in all. Thank you Joan for going over and above during your tenure as Social Secretary!
